Thank you to all who contributed to such a wonderful Easter Concert.  Feedback on the Dvorák’s New World Symphony has been delightful, especially as it was a debut for BAFCO.  The hard work and commitment from both the choir and orchestra this term is commendable.

Looking towards the Summer term, the choir starts rehearsing Elgar’s The Music Makers on Friday 3^rd May at 7.00 pm.  Arranged for contralto soloist, choir and orchestra, this work is a poem by Arthur O’Shaughnessy set to quotations of Elgar’s earlier works, namely Sea Pictures, The Enigma Variations, The Dream of Gerontius, and Symphonies No 1 & 2.

If you would like to sing with us, you are welcome to join. There are no auditions but if you can hold a tune and are enthusiastic, our small, friendly group rehearses on Fridays from 7.00 to 9.00 pm, in Barts-the-Less Church, Barts Hospital, West Smithfield (Giltspur Street), EC1A 7BE – just inside the Henry VIII Gate, opposite Smithfield Meat Market.
