Christmas is coming!

Barts Great Hall is now closed for a few years for renovation. Our new home is Holy Sepulchre without Newgate – just down the road opposite the Old Bailey!  The Team at Holy Sepulchre have given us a great welcome – and we held our first public event on Saturday – a “Come & Sing” Mozart Requiem and Nelson Mass. The orchestra of approximately 30 strong and about 60 singers had a wonderful musical day in the Musician’s Church.

Thank you Holy Sepulchre – we have arrived and feel fully welcomed!

Barts 900 Concert & Autumn Term

Thanks to everyone for a memorable performance of the Messiah for our Barts 900 Concert – an enjoyable finish to our first 50 years, our last concert in The Great Hall before the refurbishment. And we are most grateful to our soloists for their participation.

Autumn Term 2023

The Autumn term starts on Friday 8th September with a choir rehearsal at 7 pm in St Barts-the-Less Church preparing Mozart Requiem and Haydn Nelson Mass for our Come & Sing in November, the first in our new concert venue of Holy Sepulchre, around the corner from The Great Hall on Holborn Viaduct. Why not sing with us?

50th ANNIVERSARY CONCERT

Thanks to all those – past and present – that were able to participate in the splendid celebration of 50 years, despite the weather and travel issues. It was a special night for us all.

FIRST REHEARSAL

Looking forward to rehearsals in 2023, the choir restarts on Friday 13th January at 7.00 pm in Barts-The-Less with Bizet’s Te Deum (Latin) and Brahms Requiem (German). Copies can be purchased at the rehearsal.
