Easter Concert | BACH: St John Passion
– Monday 28th March at 7.30 pm in The Great Hall at Barts Hospital

The Christmas Concert was good fun and a great way to start the festive season – thanks to everyone’s input and contribution.
We start the January term on Friday 7th January 2022 at 7.00 pm in St Bartholomew the Less Church, rehearsing St John Passion by Bach – copies will be available at the practice to purchase if required. New singers are welcome to join us as we work towards our Easter Concert at the end of March.
Rehearsals will be socially distanced and well ventilated so do ensure you wear enough warm cloths!
Remember, if you have any signs or symptoms of just an ordinary cold, it would be best not to come.
Also in the interest of keeping everyone safe, it is good practice for those attending choir rehearsals on Fridays to complete a negative lateral flow test each time before coming. Obviously, if it is positive, do not attend the session. This is not compulsory, nor is proof of the result required, just a request and a sensible precaution.

Thanks to all those who came to sing in the choir and play in the orchestra on Sunday – for the Mozart Requiem from scratch! There was a good buzz of enjoyment all round, and it was clear that so many of us are delighted to get back to singing and playing again.

John Lumley outlined the plans for next year which will be the 50th year since BAFCO (Bart’s Academic Festival Choir and Orchestra) started. Dates are still to be confirmed, but as soon as they are – the plans will be put on this website so as many of you as possible can join our current choir for a great choral year!

Don’t forget that singers can join us again on Sunday 28th November at 2 pm, to sing Handel’s Messiah – again from scratch – look out your music and put the date in your diary!
